Salvo Copper Snow Guards
Salvo copper snow guards for new slate roofs are made from 16 oz. solid copper, either 15" or 6" long. The fifteen-inch length allows the snow guards to be installed in a uniform pattern even on random-width slate roofs. On uniform width slate roofs, choose the six-inch version.
If you want to install on an existing slate roof, use the Salvo 15-ES.
This snow guard was designed in-house and was tested, not only by S&S, but also at the laboratories of Tox Pressotechnik in Warrenville, IL. This snow guard can be used on all roofing applications.
There are also four style variations: Classic, Rabbit, Arch, and Fleur. The Rabbit, Arch, and Fleur require an additional charge due to the addition of a 24-ounce copper decorative attachment.
There are many different variations when it comes to installing snow guards on your roof. Basic installation on a slate roof is on the 3rd, 5th, and 7th horizontal course, approximately 24" apart in a W pattern.
