Finally, a slate cutter that will cut both concave and convex curves (remove the side supports first) and can be used standing up, without a base. This is a great all-around slate cutter based on an improved version of the old classic Pearson design. Overall length is 25 inches. The cutting blade length is 4 inches.

Features: flared base, improved durability, new punch location, ability to tuck flared base in tool belt allows for extra versatility (such as standing while cutting) when cutting on the roof. The tough, heat-treated blade is removable and can be replaced, as can the punch. The curved blade gives excellent "bite" on the toughest slate varieties up to 3/8-inch thick. Good for cutting smaller pieces to be fitted around chimneys or valleys.

Two pieces of angle iron (included) can be attached to the bottom section by means of pre-drilled screw holes, at the option of the user.

Free shipping in the continental USA (Alaska and Hawaii not included).

Model 95-A: Popular and durable, 25 inches long, 5 pounds, 4-inch blade length. Excellent ”bite” on the toughest slate varieties up to 3/8-inch thick. Now with a fortified handle where you hit it with a hammer to punch slates. You can also mount this cutter on a board.

Stortz heat-treated cutting blade also cuts asbestos and mineral fiber shingles (not suitable for ceramic tiles). This cutter also includes side angles that bolt to either side of the blade to support the slates as they are being cut. The angle supports are optional - some roofers prefer them, some don't.
