There are now over 28,000 Slate Roof Bibles in circulation (three editions), but the demand continues. I honestly never thought I would have to go back to print with this book, but here we are. Will there ever be a 4th edition? I will be 74 this summer and, at this age, nothing seems to be guaranteed. I can only guarantee this printing, 1,000 more copies of the 3rd edition. The iconic hardcover, full-color, Slate Roof Bible 3rd edition will be around for years to come. 5.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I was looking for. This book covers every aspect of Slate Roofing. Written very well, chock full of history, photos, diagrams and tables. After consuming this book, the only way to acquire more knowledge is by getting on and working a slate roof.

Full of great pictures and stories, the book can be quite entertaining as well as extremely useful for anyone doing or considering slate work.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Hands down the best. Not all books are created equal. This one is the cream of the crop. I'm a carpenter by trade and need to replace a failing asphalt roof on my home. I thought about installing slate but have little knowledge of the process. This book gives you a complete understanding of all that is involved in slate roofing and how to produce a thorough job. You will need the proper tools so some investment is essential. For a journeyman carpenter, installing a slate roof is in easy reach with the knowledge found in the book.
