The TAF Standing Seam Snow Guard is designed for standing seam metal roofs. They include 4 set screws for secure installation. They are cast aluminum and therefore durable and rust resistant. 

They can also be powder-coated to match your roof’s color for a seamless look. Select the color from the color chart and write it in the customer notes section during checkout. There may be a minimum order for powder coating (if your color is not in stock). Custom colors may require an extended lead time. Otherwise, most Jalco products ship within 24 hours.

TAF snow Guards are available in aluminum, or powder coated aluminum. 

If you want to paint your own aluminum snow guards:

1) Clean with paint thinner to get the dirt off.
2) Prime with a self-etching aluminum primer available at automotive supply stores.
3) Use a Rustoleum type paint.
4) Dip the snow guards in the paint and let the excess run off.
5) Alternatively, use spray paint.

Sieger 2-Pipe Standing Seam Snow Rail Brackets for roofs are 5 3/8" wide overall and stand 3 1/4" high off the roof. These brackets are part of an affordable lifetime snow rail system. Six stainless steel set screws are included with every bracket and are compatible with any standing seam metal roofing type. Requires an 1/8" Allen wrench for installation.        

We sell the Brackets only: rails (pipes) must be bought separately. For bronze brackets, ask for 1/2" "Type K" copper pipe at your local plumbing or welding supply store, or use solid 1/2" copper or brass rods. Copper pipes can be soldered together with couplings. For aluminum brackets, use stainless steel pipe.  

For Snap Lock standing seam metal roofing, look for the "SL" in the product code. These slots are tapered to accommodate Snap Lock standing seams.

Sieger aluminum snow guards can be painted. There is a minimum order of (200) snow guards for painting. They are not powder coated, they are painted for an additional $5.00 per snow guard. If you're not in a hurry and you want to order less than 200, we will hold your order until we have another paint job of the same color, then paint them at that time. It may be a few weeks wait. The Sieger SS2 Standing Seam snow guards are made of cast aluminum or cast bronze. They are heavy duty snow guards for standing seam roofs. SS2A and SS2B grooves are approximately 7/8" deep, and the snow guard sits 3 1/4" high off the roof.  

Tapered slots accommodate Snap Lock standing seam metal roofing: look for the "SL" in the product code. Tapered-slot snow guard grooves are 1 3/8" deep and the snow guard sits 3 3/4" high off the roof (see images).  

The aluminum snow guards are silver/gray, not in any way bronze colored as the image may suggest. They are the color of mill finish aluminum. Six stainless steel set screws included (grade 18-8 stainless) for 1/8" Allen wrench.

The bronze are made of solid bronze (#836 stock - 85% copper, 5% tin, 5% zinc, and 5% lead). 

Berger #1 Heavy Duty Snow Guards for Standing Seam Roofs are available in bronze or galvanized iron.    

The roofer's choice since 1883 for use on standing seam metal roofs! It weighs 5 1/2 oz., stands 2 3/4" high off of the roof, and is 5" wide. Pinch to clamp over the seam to create a rigid, permanent job. You may need the Double Welt Iron to hold the seam in place as you crimp the snow guard together (a sledgehammer head can work too). The gap that fits over the seam is 1/4" wide. If your seam is thicker than 1/4", this snow guard probably is not the best choice. For a thicker seam, try the Berger AP Aluminum Snow Guards.

Berger AP400 and AP516 snow guards are non-penetrating mill finish aluminum devices that have been engineered specifically for use with more popular structural and non-structural pre-formed and architectural metal roof systems. They're secured without glues or sealants, utilizing custom-milled stainless-steel set screws to clamp them in place. They're produced in cast aluminum and are available in two different seam widths and heights, and can be custom painted (see below).

We have an almost identical snow guard on our website: Green Mountain E3 standing seam snow guard. Made in India, they are like the AP400M (mill finish) except more economical at $30 each and of similar quality (while supplies last). Not available painted.

AP400: Seams up to 3/8" thick & 1 1/2" high.

AP516: Seams up to 1/2" thick & 1 1/2" high.

These snow guards do not restrict thermal movement. The deep throats permit them to be secured directly without damaging caps or compressing internal gasketing or sealant pockets. The 6" wide, deep blade design makes it particularly effective in retaining snow with the higher seams and wider panel widths common in pre-formed architectural roofing.

AP400M/AP516M: Mill Finished Cast Aluminum. "Mill finish" is the natural appearance of aluminum as it comes from the rolling mill or the extrusion mill. It is "as is" with no external mechanical or chemical finishing.

AP400E/AP516E:Medium Gloss Black E-Coat Epoxy Primer - requires a final color coat after purchase.

Berger RT200 and RT300 snow guards are non-penetrating devices that are secured to the standing seams of metal roofs utilizing stainless steel set screws to clamp them in place. 

They require no glues or sealants and will not restrict thermal movement or contribute to unsightly oil canning. These are particularly suited for double-lock and mechanically seamed metal roofing. Being traditional in design, they are ideal for restoration and preservation work. 

RT200:For seams up to 3/16" wide (0.188") and no higher than one inch. Suited for use with light gauge sheet metal such as 40 lb. terne, 26-gauge galvanized, and 16 oz. copper. 

RT300:For seams up to 9/32" wide (0.297") and no higher than one inch. Suited for heavier gauge metals such as 20-ounce copper, 24-gauge prefinished metal, and products of similar thickness.

Berger Snow Meister SG-1 Cast Aluminum Snow Guards for Standing Seam Roofs are available in mill finish, with an epoxy primer, or in polished bronze. 

The SG-1 Snow Meister snow guards are used for a traditional double lock standing seam roof that is 1.0" deep x .25" wide.  These guards fit both 1" and 1-1/2" high seams.

The symmetrical design rotates 180 degrees to match the seam lock orientation. The set screws are stainless steel so these snow guards can be used with any type of metal roof.

This is similar to the SL-1 snow guard, which has a wider slot for Snap-Lock roofs.

Berger SL-1 Snow Meister Cast Aluminum Snow Guard for Snap-Lock Standing Seam Roofs are available in Mill Finish or with an Epoxy Primer. 

Snow Meister SL-1 Snow Guard is designed to accommodate 1” Snap Lock Panels and Single Lock Seams 1.0" deep x .64" wide.  Symmetrical design rotates 180 degrees to match seam lock orientation. These guards can also be used on standing seams up to 1.75" tall. 

Options: 

SL-1MF: Mill Finished Aluminum - natural appearance of aluminum as it comes from the mill, with no external mechanical or chemical finishing.

This is a 1 or 2-rail moderate snow load system that is strong and light offering between the seams protection on metal roofs. It helps to control the possibility of dangerous ice slides, requiring no penetration of the roof. This system is easy to install and uses a 7/32 Allen wrench. The E-Casting is designed to accommodate a seam of up to ½" (0.516”) thick and up to two inches (2") high.

This is a 1-rail, low-profile system for standard snow loads. It functions below the standing seams on metal roofs, helping to control the possibility of dangerous ice slides.
