Green Mountain Gothic heavy duty ornamental snow guard is available in galvanized iron. This is a larger guard with Gothic styling designed to transfer snow and ice loads more effectively to reduce cracking of the slate.

1/8" x 1" x 12" bar in appropriate metal combination. Excellent in areas that receive heavy snows! This snow guard is for new slate roof installation, but can be installed on existing slate roofs too. Download instructions showing how to install on an existing slate roof.

The rivet which holds the guard to the strap pulled out. It looks like two rows were not enough for the weight. I'm adding another row courtesy of Slate Roof Warehouse who sent me replacements and more to finish my project. Thanks!
