If you don't need hundreds of pounds of copper but still need to get your hands on some copper flashing material, we have four smaller rolls available. Berger 16 oz. (.0216") soft copper flashing rolls. We can ship these UPS to residential addresses, avoiding the high LTL commercial freight fees.

This is solid construction grade pure copper, not foil, not a copper alloy, not copper coated metal. It weighs one pound per square foot.
Berger soft copper is especially suitable for flashings that require bending, such as on chimneys or step flashings, or for fabricating vent pipe flashings, flat-lock soldered copper roofing, etc. It is also ideal for bib flashings, home use, crafts, or any situation a standard-weight soft copper is needed.

We also have 16-ounce copper rolls. Our 100 lb+ rolls deliver by tractor-trailer to a commercial address only.

This is solid construction-grade copper, not foil, not a copper alloy, not copper-coated metal. The 16-ounce weighs one pound per square foot. The 20-ounce copper weighs 20 ounces per square foot.

Half-hard copper is tougher than soft copper and makes for good valley, gutter, and ridge material as well as a good all-around flashing material. Also good for bar counters, general construction, and about any other use where a tough copper sheet is needed. Cold-rolled is softer than half-hard (see chart below).

Berger 16 oz. (.0216") soft copper flashing rolls, most are 100 lbs., construction grade, cold rolled, H00. This is solid construction grade pure copper, not foil, not a copper alloy, not copper coated metal. It weighs one pound per square foot.
NOTE: The 16" rolls are only 80 pounds.

European Flashing Training Course
European Flashing Training Course - Now booking for February and/or March 2026
Dates are to be determined according to the schedules of the students and instructor. Sign up now. When we have 4 students registered, we will set the dates according to the availability of all 5 persons attending.

Duration: Two days - 8am - 3pm, including break. Lunch is included. The course is limited to 4 students. Tools are provided.Basic construction and roofing knowledge is beneficial, but not necessary. Language: English

This course is taught by John Sheridan, creator and owner of Sheridan Metal Resources LLC. With 50 years of experience in the roofing industry, we will take an in-depth, hands-on dive into various double-fold flashing techniques. John has been training European details since 2003 with a focus on copper, zinc, and stainless steel (Roofinox). He is a North American certified trainer for VM Zinc, Aurubis Copper, and Roofinox Stainless Steel.
Learn sweep-seam, double-locked flashing techniques. Trainings are a two day hands-on experience designed and structured to introduce craftsmen to the tools and knowledge. We teach everything required to gain a basic working knowledge of double-fold (double-lock standing seam) Euro-inspired techniques. You can expect an introduction to the specific tools and details we will be working with during the training. Students will take the basic knowledge learned and apply them to a hands-on mock-up. Topics covered will be: eave, rake, transition, change of direction, chimney, valley and pipe flashing details.
